25x Buñuel programme
Leopardo Filmes in partnership with Medeia Filmes organizes a film programme dedicated to the filmmaker (and writer) LUIS BUÑUEL (Calanda, Spain, 1900 - Mexico City, 1983, one of the greatest names in art in the twentieth century. The film programme is in exhibition at Espaço Nimas, in Lisbon, until 18 September.
The first phase of the programme, has a special focus on the so-called “Mexican period”, extremely rich, and much less known, we would say, practically unknown in Portugal (of the 25 films that are part of this programme, many of them are unprecedented commercially in our country, and were shown only at the Cinemateca Portuguesa, which in the early 80's dedicated a special programme to the filmmaker).
