Cycle Nikkatsu's "Roman Porno"

From June 18th, and over five weeks, at the Cinema Nimas (with later exhibitions in other theaters all over the country), Leopardo Filmes brings us 10 films from Japanese cinema, 10 films of a “sumptuous genre”, as called by Jean-François Rauger of the French Cinematheque, “Roman Porno” (roman poruno), which Nikkatsu studios created in the early 1970s, and which, as Stephen Sarrazin, who has worked on Japanese cinema for several decades, wrote, “ it is finally part of the history of Japanese cinema ”.

There are 5 restored copies of classics of the genre and 5 tributes to them. Not to be missed, from June 18th to July 22nd, at Cinema Nimas, in Lisbon.
