Premiere | THERE IS NO EVIL by Mohammad Rasoulof
THERE IS NO EVIL is an anthology of four stories that follow the lives of individuals faced with an unthinkable choice: follow orders and carry out the death penalty or refuse to do so and suffer the consequences. A work that questions the possibility of individual freedom under a despotic regime.
Based on real events, the film is the first title by the Iranian director to have distribution in Portugal. THERE IS NO EVIL won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, in an edition in which the director could not be presente for he was forbidden from leaving his country.
